Adam Leggett, MA

Adam has spent the last 13 years of his career working in the field of eating disorders in various capacities. As someone in recovery, and a trained clinician with many years working in eating disorder admissions and outreach, he brings an essential fusion of personal experience as well as clinical and business operations experience to his role. As someone who knows what it’s like to become critically ill with an eating disorder and without suitable access to resources, Adam has a passion for connecting patients and their families to treatment and making sure that people affected by eating disorders have a voice.

He has led a successful career at several treatment facilities across the US including roles at ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition, Eating Recovery Center, Aloria Health and Veritas Collaborative, all organizations of which he has been honored to be a part of. He also earned iaedp’s prestigious Certified Eating Disorder Education Associate (CED-EA) designation, underscoring his commitment and capability in providing clinical consultation and facilitation of referral for severely ill patients.  

Adam received his master’s degree in mental health counseling from Baruch College and his bachelor’s degree in special education from East Carolina University. During his career he has held specialized licensures such as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Disability Education Specialist and Certified Severe and Profound Disabilities Educational Specialist.
