Casey Shamy, LSW

Casey Shamy serves as Director of Marketing of ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition, bringing an essential fusion of clinical and behavioral health marketing experience to her role. Casey oversees a field team serving professionals as well as a digital team tasked with making ACUTE’s unmatched specialty care known and accessible to providers, patients and families in the U.S. and around the world. Under her leadership, ACUTE has dramatically enhanced access to life-saving care at ACUTE for those struggling with extreme forms of eating disorders and severe malnutrition, including growing referrals from medical hospitals via air ambulance, as well as more residential treatment center referrals.

Prior to joining ACUTE, Casey worked in behavioral health clinical settings for 13 years in numerous roles, including marketing and admissions. Casey is a licensed social worker and received her Master of Social Work degree from Monmouth University in 2015. She has earned iaedp’s prestigious associate educational designation through the iaedp™ Institute on Eating Disorders, underscoring her commitment and capability in providing clinical consultation and facilitation of referral for severely ill patients.
