BreAnn Sandoval, MSW

Social Worker

BreAnn Sandoval, MSW joined ACUTE in 2023 after four years working at Colorado's primary safety-net institution, Denver Health. BreAnn covered the emergency department, general medicine, mom/baby, labor and delivery, PICU, and the transitional care unit providing care coordination and discharge planning, including repatriation and guardianship. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver school of Social Work. BreAnn's previous clinical experience includes providing individual therapy, group therapy and skill building series at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. Her interest in eating disorders sparked when she was offered a full-time position at ACUTE in 2023. Since entering the field of eating disorders, BreAnn is currently working towards obtaining the certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).

At ACUTE BreAnn is committed to providing quality care to her patients. She works with providers nationally to ensure her patients have a safe discharge.

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
